Today, I attended my first Pearland Chamber of Commerce Governmental Relations Committee Meeting. I decided to serve on this committee because it provides me with tons of great information to share with other Pearland citizens. When I am elected to serve on the Pearland City Council, I will be able to bring a great deal of perspective from the business community to the council. More importantly, I will be able to share what I learn with the people who need to be aware of services various governmental agencies provide. If I do not get elected, I am still going to serve on this committee and share what I learn with the community.
My service and dedication to the committee are personal. I found out there are millions of dollars available to help people in Pearland to get their homes repaired through the Homeowners Assistance Program. I will share on a separate post. I am glad Jere Gnadar suggested this committee!
